IMSA Executive Director Toby Cummings has announced his resignation effective June 30, 2023. Tyson Evatz, former president of the Board of Directors, will serve as interim executive director.
“We extend our deepest appreciation for Toby’s dedication to IMSA’s mission, his passion for our cause, and the significant contributions he has made to the organization,” said IMSA Board President Kevin Musick.
According to Musick, the board has begun the search for the next executive director and is committed to finding the right candidate to lead IMSA. As interim executive director, Evatz will ensure that the organization continues to act in accordance with its mission, maintain its strategic plan goals and carry out programs and services to be the premier resource in public safety.
“Tyson has been a vital member of our team and a natural leader on the board, and we trust that his experience and expertise will prove invaluable during this transition,” Musick said.
Cummings, who joined IMSA in 2019, has accepted a position as CEO of the National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA) based in Tampa, FL.
