Former IMSA Board President George Baureko passed away on Jan 24, 2025. George was an involved IMSA member for over 40 years. He served on at least a dozen committees at the international level, including the Educational Advisory Committee and Council of Delegates. George was a revered member of the New Jersey section. He served as the section’s president, certification chair and membership chair. In addition to his generous contributions to the public safety industry, George served in the United States Navy and was a firefighter. The IMSA community will greatly miss him.
