The International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) has named Catherine Wasner as executive director effective June 17, 2024. Wasner succeeds Interim Executive Director Tyson Evatz, who has served since July 2023.
“Catherine has a proven track record in business development, membership growth, volunteer management and community outreach,” said Mike LiCalzi, president of the IMSA Board of Directors. “We are confident that her strong leadership skills and background in association management will enable the association to continue to advance the future of
public safety.
As executive director, Wasner is responsible for managing staff operations at the Rockledge headquarters, oversight of certification and membership programs and implementation of IMSA’s strategic goals.
“For more than a decade I have worked in association management with a construction industry association, which has some overlap with public safety,” Wasner said. “I am honored to lead the association and work alongside IMSA’s members and stakeholders, providing valuable resources and education to support the industry’s continued growth and success.”
Wasner most recently served as founder and lead consultant of The Next Page in Colonia, NJ. Her prior experience includes serving as vice president of member services and business development for the Construction Financial Management Association and community relations/fund development manager for Eversight. Wasner graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Rutgers University and received a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from Rutgers Business School. She also received a Non-Profit Leadership Certificate from the Non-Profit Leadership Institute at Bergen Community College.
