George Baureko is IMSA’s President-Elect for 2017 - 2018

IMSA Executive Director Douglas M. Aiken is pleased to announce the election of George Baureko as President Elect of IMSA.  George currently serves as a Director-at-Large on the IMSA Board of Directors and is the president of the New Jersey Section of IMSA.  He is retired after 30 years of service from the position of Senior Traffic Technician/Foreman for the Township of Piscataway, New Jersey.

Upon learning of his election George thanked IMSA “I would like to take this time to thank you all for the opportunity to serve as President-Elect. I am very humbled by this opportunity to serve you all in a senior leadership position of this organization.”

In addition to his leadership roles at the section and International levels of IMSA he is also an active New Jersey Section moderator for Work Zone Temporary Traffic Control, Traffic Signal Level I, II and III Field, Signs and Markings Level I & II and Roadway Lighting Level I & II.  In addition, he frequently travels to other IMSA sections to moderate programs.  George is a past president of the Spotswood Volunteer Fire Company and currently serves on the board of the Pocono Ranchettes Association.  He loves to spend time with his grandchildren and driving his fully original 1965 Pontiac GTO.

George will assume his new position on the IMSA Board of Directors for 2017 – 2018 during the Annual IMSA Forum & Expo which will be held in Scottsdale, AZ, July 8 – 11, 2017.  He will become the President of IMSA at the IMSA Forum & Expo in Orlando in July 2018.
