TRAFFIC SIGN TECHNICIAN

Naples, Florida

Collier County Government’s department of Traffic Operations is currently seeking a Traffic Sign Technician to produce, install, repair and maintain traffic control signs to provide information, notices or warnings, such a street names, speed limits, stop signs, handicap notices, regulatory notices, river/creek names, bridges, bridge weight limits, county lines, road curves, construction work zones, warnings, or other signs; installs reflective pavement markings in roadways; makes recommendation to improve roadway safety. 

HS diploma or GED plus 1 year previous experience and/or training involving traffic safety, traffic sign installation/maintenance, and equipment operation. Must currently possess or have the ability to obtain the following certifications: IMSA Signs & Markings certification, IMSA Work Zone Safety certification, and Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Traffic Safety in the Work Area certification.
